A house in the hills

In the foothills of Pico Duarte one finds this well maintained property that currently has two bedrooms but could easily be converted into many different possibilities.  There are two buildings:  The main house with very high ceilings and two bedrooms and then the annex building that currently is used for family entertainment but offers a wealth of different possibilities, be it entertaining; maybe a restaurant space; perhaps a bar?  It could easily be converted to provide an extra two or three bedrooms, and then perhaps it would offer the possibility to run a bed and breakfast business?

The river Yaque and the town centre are just a short stroll away.  The challenging Jarabacoa gold course is also just a short distance away. 

One of the surprising and hidden gems of the Dominican Republic, Pico Duarte is the highest mountain in the Caribbean and in winter time an ocassional frost is possible.  The temperature in the region is several degrees cooler than that on the coast making the area very desireable among the Dominican Elite that own weekend villas and retreats.  Watch out for hill fog, cardigans, bobble hats and winter fires.
